25% of current viennese citizens do not have rights to vote on austrian elections (according to eu-rights at least local district government and of course, eu parlamentary voting should be allowed). that creates a slowly growing gap of citizens who pay taxes and pay in to austrian healthcare and pension system without having their voice heard.

Eugene, mastermind behind the (in)famous vienna ugly tour - focusing on the ugly side of vienna only -, is now organizing an event to demonstrate, how well are these foreigners living in vienna aware of austrian habits and customs. therefore the quiz is run in austrian german and all questions are taken from the official austrian citizenship test.

just nearby at the turkish groceries store found ajvar. in case you would not have been tasting this stuff (a red, paprika-onion mixture from Balkans) i would strongly recommend. goes well with any sandwich morningtimes. i was not surprised to see the product coming from Serbia, however the text on is clear swedish. hence the title ;)

and it looks one of the travel mates to China is also speaking the largest scandinavic language - underbart!!

nos, ezt így, ebben a formában egy hamisítatlan osztrák kollégám gondolta helyénvalónak üdvözlő formulaként (grütz' euch már smafu). ő tényleg érdekes tájszólásban beszél, néha akár két szót is megértek egy mondatából. most éppen abban az állapotban érzem magam, hogy megint alig beszélek valamit németül, aztán mindig kiderül, hogy olykor meg nagyon is. kicsit komolyabban kéne vennem a nyelvtanulást, szerencsére megint alakul egy munkahelyi kurzus - ezek a legjobbak.
